My name is Ray and for many years I have enjoyed cross-stitch embroidery, in particular I enjoy embroidering magical and mythical designs.

I confess that I am a rather reluctant blogger but I have recently been invited to be a guest member of the Crafty Boots Design Team. It is a great honour to be invited to work with this very talented team and I thank them for this opportunity.

Winnie the Pooh Birth Sampler

As well as stitching magical and mythical designs I also make the occasional Winnie the Pooh picture for my nieces and nephews.  It's funny, they never ask for anything else, but as they are fun to stitch I really do not mind.  


I recently made this birth sampler for my first great nephew.  (For obvious reasons I have blanked out his personal details.)




This design came in the form of a kit, it contained the aida and all the thread I needed, they even give you a needle.  It was quick and simple to make and a good way for someone who has never cross stitched before to have a go.
