Welcome to my blog.

My name is Ray and for many years I have enjoyed cross-stitch embroidery, in particular I enjoy embroidering magical and mythical designs.

I confess that I am a rather reluctant blogger but I have recently been invited to be a guest member of the Crafty Boots Design Team. It is a great honour to be invited to work with this very talented team and I thank them for this opportunity.

The Wizard and his Castle

For the next two week the theme of the Crafty Boots Challenge is Fantasy, that is anything magical or mythical.

Which, for anyone who knows me, is just the sort of thing I love to stitch.  It's hard to believe that they did not have me in mind when they set this challenge, but they did not, at that time I was not even a twinkle in the eye of original Design Team!

For this Challenge I have a matched pair, as you might say, a wizard and his castle.

    These are beautiful. I love the dark blue fabric - really makes the cross stitch pop.
